Cos I'm mad.

I have the most adorable video ever on my phone of little K, but the thing is, she never wears clothes.

I can't post the video, but I can try to describe little K to you.

She's 3.5 years old, and she's a little ball of fire.

Yesterday, little K was not happy. Springer women literally cannot hide when they're upset about something. It tends to come out, whether we like it or not.

I asked little K why she wasn't happy.

"Cos I'm mad."

Laugher ensued.

Little adorable curly-haired K, why are you mad?

"Daddy."

What did your dad do to make you mad?

"He pinch me."

We started cracking up. A minute later, her aunt, grandma and great aunt had another question for her.

Little K, are you telling the truth?

She glared at us long and hard.

"No."

I have those days too, little K. We all do.

Little curly-haired K, who is 3, looked at the photo on my phone.

"That Gamma and Monica."

Yes, little K. We were at an Eric Church concert. We heard him sing. We heard Creepin!

Little K then wanted to know where her twin sister was in the photo.

Little K, I said, your sister did not go to the concert with us. Your sister was sleeping like two feet away from you that night.

Little K: "She not in the picture. Where is she?"

Little K, your Gamma and I did not sneak your twin sister out of the house that day without you knowing, and we certainly did not take her to an Eric Church concert 150 miles away.

Little K: "I don't see her."

Me: Sigh.

Pain

I'm going to transcribe exactly what my 3-year-old niece talked about yesterday when I saw her.

She had an elaborate story she told me, about half of which I understood. The other half was in 3-year-old gibberish.

Something about a water bucket, Papa tricking her, and her getting her hair wet. Also, the water was cold.

Little K quote: "I don't ike it."

Me: Little K, who did that to you?

"Papa."

Me: Did Papa do it on purpose?

Little K: "Yeah Papa do it and got my hair wet."

She'll be talking about that water bucket until we go back to the water park next summer.

A certain aunt was standing nearby when the water bucket incident occurred, and a certain aunt stood there and laughed instead of saving her.

That's what aunts are for.
