I went on a little road trip to Durant, Oklahoma over the weekend.
Here are some highlights:
-The drunk guy beside me kept screaming at Eric Church to play Talladega after Eric already played Talladega. I kept looking around. Who’s going to tell this guy? And how cold was the beer in his hand?
- The guy’s wife was sitting beside him, holding her head in her hands. I asked her how long they’d been married, and she said 25 years. My response: “It feels like 50, doesn’t it?”
- To the people on the other side of me screaming “Jolene” well…I’m pretty sure you made a grim prediction that just came true. :(
The first time I went to Durant in 2018, I watched groups of people leave the show and scatter into the casino to gamble and hang out. In 2018, I thought it’d be cool to have people to do this with.
- I got back to my hotel room around 1:45 a.m. after the concert. My 2018 dreams came true. 😍
